On Target Archery is committed to offering a fun and safe environment for people of all ages to fall in love with the sport and learn how archery can provide fundamental values to help us in everyday life.

Tyler Phaup started On Target Archery from a life long love of the sport, which inspired him to share his passion with others. His first experience with archery came from his early years in the Boy Scouts of America at age 12.  Since graduating homeschooling in the summer of 2013 he has found himself pursuing his love for archery through teaching others. As an Eagle Scout, he has been teaching shooting sports at Brady Saunders Scout Camp for the past four years and started teaching private classes in March 2013. He strives to keep the traditional side of the archery sport alive and pass it on for generations to come.

Archery serves as a journey to foster skills that can be used throughout a lifetime like patients, persistence, and so much more.

Looking to the future: Tyler Phaup, still being new to the small business world, has already begun setting high aspirations for On Target Archery. Building on the same fundamentals used in traditional archery he hopes to continue offering archery lessons in Central Virginia and begin to grow and be able to teach to the majority of Virginia.

Another venture Tyler wishes to pursue is opening a camp to facilitate and encourage a self-reliance mindset through activities and adventures in the outdoors. The world was once a simple place where people could rely on each other and a set of base skills. Why not have fun while learning these skills and building a community.
